MICKAËL OBERT APPOINTED TECHNICAL MANAGER AT CHATEAU GAZIN

Mr. Mickaël Obert was recently appointed as a new technical manager at Château Gazin. This nomination will be effective on January 2nd, 2006. He will replace in this function Mr. Jean-Pierre Gasteuil who is going on retirement.

 Mickaël Obert, 33, is graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Oenologie and from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Agronomie de Montpellier (ENSA.M). He also has a diploma in agronomy « Sciences and Technics of Vegetal Production, Viticulture and Oenology »;

Following different trainings in vinification at the Coopérative des Cinq Clochers, Puilacher (Hérault), and at Louis Latour’s, in Beaune, at the Alba Roman site (Ardèche) Mr. Mickaël Obert was appointed, in 1998, Cellar Master and Superintendant of Viticulture at Château Clos l’Eglise, in Pomerol. He had also taken in charge the Château Barde-Haut, Grand Cru Saint Emilion, together with Clos l’Eglise, since 2000. 

Mickaël Obert will report to Nicolas and Christophe de Bailliencourt, managers of the family owned Château Gazin.
