Château Gazin 1990
Mrs Christiane Barrère (Ch.B.) and Mr. Michel Rolland (M.R.) - May 2000

Aspect : rich, deep, dark, garnet-red colour.

Odour : the nose is characterised by ink, fur and meat aromas (M.R.). When swirled, the nose becomes powerful, intense, complex and almost wild (Ch. B.), revealing concentrated hints of red fruits (M. R.), truffles and spices (Ch. B.).

Taste : meaty attack (M. R.), solid and powerful, prefigures an evolution that overpowers the taste with a finale embellished with beautiful, velvety tannins (Ch. B.). The balance is slightly lacking in harmony despite a good structure (M. R.).

Judgement : a powerful wine with substance but the elements still need time to blend ... wait before drinking (M. R.); a rich, powerful and easy wine... the ripe fruit and woody hints marry beautifully (Ch. B.).
