The nose is powerful, almost "explosive" with balsamic and oaky over tones (vanilla and caramel) as well as hints of spice and flowers. (C.B.)
When swirled in the glass, there are aromas of black pepper, prunes, liquorice and flowers. (C.B.)
Good concentration with an attractive fruity flavour and hints of vanilla. The tannin is lovely and soft. It will take 6 to 7 years for this wine to reach its peak. (M.R.)
The oak fortunately takes a back seat to this wine’s fine intrinsic fruitiness.
Good aging potential (C.B.)
